Top Harness mounts

Hi

Just fitted my seats and harness and think the top mounts will require some modification?

What do you think is best to over come this?

Extension or weld another tube in?

My vote goes to "weld another tube in"

Without a doubt they'll need raising - I've used longer bars to raise the mounts above tube level...

You'll need an extension tube. If you crashed the straps would pull downwards crushing the seat (and then your spine). Not nice!!!

Weld in some tubes!!!!

Do you recon a second tube all the way accross or just some looped extensions each side?

Cheers

I think one welded straight across would look better

Slightly OT but are those seats from Keith in Southport?

Why not cut the old tube out and move it up ? you have done all the hard work welding the seat belt mounts in that tube

Cheers for the replies.

Think i will cut that tube out and reweld a tube in higher up so it all lines up correctly.

I have decided to modify the roll bar aswell as it is a bit low for me. Will do that as a modification when it is through SVA.

Richard Quinn:- The seats are JK Composites, really pleased with the quality and comfort. Would recommend them.

Cheers
