Triton seats again
neilp1 - 27/2/12 at 12:20 PM

I've been trying to get some Triton seat for well over a month now. I've contacted Vodou autokits or should I say tried. I spoke with the guy once (the only time I was able to get through to them) and he said send an email and he would respond. I've sent 3 with no answer.

I've been back on their website and they now don't advertise Triton seat, so does anyone know if they are still trading??

No wonder the economy is in the state it's in when you try to give people money for a product they produce, but you can't even contact them.

Boils my wee to say the least!!!!!

Rant over (for now!!)
Neil

i tried buying a set last year and gave up

bonzoronnie - 27/2/12 at 02:35 PM

My eldest lad tried to buy me a pair for christmas.
Same story as above & he gave up in the end

He gave me the cash instead, bad mistake, I promptly spent it on something totally unrelated to my build.

I'll have to give MK a try when I start on my new project

samjc - 27/2/12 at 02:58 PM

Martin at mk engineering does some nice ones and can order diffrent colours in. ill be getting mine through him as they are a replica of the caterham fiberglass seats

mikeb - 27/2/12 at 03:11 PM

I think Voudu were trying to get up and running in new premises for the launch of the their Mx5 based kit.
It would be good to know whats happening with the seat as well and you've right they are no longer listed on the website.
Maybe mark will pop along if he knows anything?

Davegtst - 27/2/12 at 03:56 PM

I've got Triton seats that i got from a show last year. TBH they need a bit of finishing off and some of the gelcoat is far from perfect. The backs are not finished off at all either which makes them look a bit rubbish.

Might not have a business if they keep it up, as when I said I've been trying for a month its more like 7 weeks.

I feel another rant coming on!!!

rost - 27/2/12 at 04:01 PM

A guy from the dutch club also bought (and payed) for a pair. Now he has no seats nor his money... They seem to be completely unreachable.

rost I thought that was an order with a different company? not Voodu. I think Voodu have only be offering to make seats (to the Triton design) for a month or two.

I don't think we should give them bad press without knowing the right facts, from what I can see they haven't properly launched yet and maybe haven't even taken orders (or received any payment) for any products yet.

I'm waiting to see there new bodypanels so I'm frustrated to and there lack of comms is a bit worrying but if they are still sorting stuff out and haven't actually launched the business properly then they haven't done anything wrong.

Let us know what you think of the MK seats when you see them

Not entirely sure if I am going to be fit enough to travel up to Stoneleigh this year

Funnily enough the person using the Triton user name (and advertising in his avatar) posted on here at 1.27 today;

I noticed that too - ...

Re the MK seats I will stick a thread up with them if I spy any, no problem....

I had a run out in the MK Midi, and the seats were very comfy, Im 509 tall and stocky but felt like the seat fitted me well.

scootz - 10/4/12 at 02:55 PM

Would you rather we took the Freelander instead of the BMW to Stoneleigh Ivan (in case you buy a couple of chairs)???

Dont mind either, the seats can courier saves us farting on with them.

I could wear my aviators if you took the beemer.

scootz - 10/4/12 at 03:17 PM

I'd have to call you Goose (and you'd have to call me Maverick) for the entire journey!

T66 - 10/4/12 at 03:21 PM

I have a good selection of flying suits, for the total knob effect...?

scootz - 10/4/12 at 03:26 PM

Do you have a flying helmet and mask a la Chubs that I can wear?

Well maybe he should have a think about advertising for the current owners on here, when they are giving such poor service. It seems he still wants to be thought well of and doesnt seem to mind being associated with them.

Just my tuppence wurth

Jon

I bought the mk seats after failing to contact anyone about triton. I'm very pleased with the seats although I don't have them fitted in the car yet I have sat in them and they are comfy!!

Triple from me Scott

Had a rough old time over the winter, was at las re-gaining my energy & very much looking forward to Stoneleigh show.

Took the dog on a 2 mile hike & felt fine at the time, next day I was totally FUBAR, right back to square One

Looking at the bright side, that will mean more time in the workshop playing with my new build

Neilp

Thanks for the input, it is most welcome

He needs to update that again, as he also posted some time ago that his daughter had fallen ill and has handed over production to Vudou autokits who have since disapeared off the radar.
