I have a new set of sierra handbrake springs with 1 coil less than standard, therefore allowing clearance to 13" rims.

Nope, the handbrake spring is normally in the way, and the lever has to be bent in to clear as well.

I've seen it somewhere on this forum previously, but have just been looking and can't find the guy's name now
