Whats the going rate for a set of pistons and rods out of a 04 54 plate Focus St170?

Are they a good upgrade for a blacktop does anyone know?

Pistons are nothing special. Not forged. Rods might be slightly stronger but not worth spending money on. If you are serious go for proper uprated aftermarket rods and pistons.
Both my ST170 engines are heavy breathers, due to piston design I believe. High piston and ring wear rate. Plus you couldn't expect to take the bits out of one engine and just stick them in another, even blacktop to blacktop.
