Fisher Fury RGB Race Car Ready for Class F
enginearin - 2/5/13 at 01:16 PM

Sad to have to do it but I’m putting my Fury up for sale. I’ve just taken on a new self build project which will consume all my time and money for the next year or so, so not going to have the opportunity to use the car.

The car was built in 2005 by The Kit Car Workshop (manufacturers of the Fury at the time) for Colin Duce to run in Class C of the 750MC RGB championship. The car was raced regularly and successfully by Colin for a number of years in class C before being converted from carbed 919cc to injected CBR1000RR power to run in the then Class B of the RGB and later Class F. The car was then sold to Mark Sammland who raced it sporadically for a few years before it came into my ownership in January 2012.

The car was originally built to accommodate a Muffett differential which, by general consensus, were proven to be worse than useless for racing. The Muffett diff was replaced with a Sierra LSD by Colin at some point during his ownership.
I acquired the car with the intention of doing a few trackdays in 2012 and starting racing in 2013. In 2012 I gave the car a thorough check over and fitted all new rod ends to the suspension, changed the Hi Spec front brakes for Willwood discs / calipers and changed the fuel system to incorporate the bike fuel pump. Late in 2012 i experienced a gearbox failure and, as the engine had always had quite high oil consumption, decided to source a new engine package as a replacement. The engine fitted was an 2005 18,000mile engine with full service history (I have the service book and a pile of receipts for the bike) and has performed well since being fitted.

The car is generally in good nick, I made sure that it was mechanically sound as soon as it came into my ownership but there are a few points I’d wanted to tidy up this winter before going racing. These items are that the chassis has a few areas where powder coating is flaking off and some of the wiring could do with a tidy up.

Thanks Daniel, I'll be sorry to see it go.

I note yours has changed colour overnight. Will you be out racing this year?

Given up on editing the original post... it seems that it's time limited now.

Anyway, £8,500 it is

Half what it would cost to build.
