Wheel spacers......

Just wanting to find out if you can fit wheel spacers and get a 7 through an sva ? If so, do they have to be round ones the same size as the hubs or can they be multi fit spacers ? Hope someone can help.

I passed iva with round spacers no probs, in fact the only thing he looked at around the wheel area were the studs and wheel nuts.

If spacer is thin you can get away with standard studs but anything 10mm or over would need longer studs fitting

how thick do you need them to be ?

if they are much over 5mm I'd want hubcentric ones with longer studs...

the rough rule of thumb I use for the thread length is you should be able to screw the nut on by the same distance as its nominal diameter + 1 or 2 threads

so using ford M12x1.5 studs, 12/1.5 =8 full turns + a couple gives a minimum of 10 full turns of the nut
