v8kid - 15/3/09 at 06:07 PM

Any ideas where to get one? When removing the driveshafts from the donor I had to cut the old one off it was 41mm acoss flats and was a nylock nut with left hand threads (the opposite way round from usual)

Cheers

David

fairly sure it will have to be off a sierra, i think bolt suppliers would struggle with such an unusual nut. Try a post on the FSOC forum, someone definately has one on there, failing that your local scrappers.

Give your local Ford dealer a call - they should be able to get them in easily enough and no doubt cheaper than you might think.

If your are going to replace the rear bearing, the nut comes with the kit.

Yep, ford sell them. Think they are a couple of quid each.

I have one

You can have it (if you pay for the shipping)

I need one as well. Group buy?

Just been to the local Ford dealer who initially refused to look it up on the parts computer unless I gave him a number plate or chassis number. (It's a Q plate).

Finally convinced him to look it up and he then claimed they couldn't get them anymore. I'm sure it was because he couldn't be ar$ed.

I've reused the old one which is far from ideal until I can source another.
