WTD: MCyl and Springs

Before I splash out buying new, I am after:

A 5/8 (0.625) integral reservoir master cylinder, in good condition.

225lb/in and/or 250lb/in - 1.9" ID - 7 or 8" length springs.

Anyone got anything laying around?

I'm sure you already know, but on eBay you can pick up a 0.625 integral for £24.99 free postage...

Wilwood items are more pricey though

Hope this helps

Olly

Cheers Olly, I'm a little dubious about the cheaper ones. Would rather go for a Wilwood or Girling.

Ahhh interesting, as I was just about to buy a cheapo one... would you advise not then?

Depends what its for - non safety critical like a clutch master - take a flyer - whats the worst - you get stranded and have the cost or inconvenience to get back home. Safety critical service like a brake m/c - not something that's worth trying to save a few quid on - I would rather have some trace-ability should something go wrong.

Hey Phelpsa,

Just thought I'd let you know that I went ahead and bought the cheapest 0.625 Master Cylinder with Integral Res on eBay... turns out to be a CompBrake one, extremely happy with the quality of it - very fast delivery too... here are some pics of mine... think they should use these rather than the crappy stock image on eBay to be fair... as I was mega dubious.

Hope this helps make your decision a little

Take care

Olly
