Ok so hands up. im an idiot, fitted one side and remembered to remove the inner before cutting to length, then promptly cut the other side to length.....with the inner still inserted! !"£$%$^%%$

Dont suppose anyone has a spare inner or a single cable lying around spare, im thinking the only other option is to buy a complete handbrake cable kit again just to get a single inner. there go my chances of having a working handbrake by the end of the day :-(

Yeah i have a spare. Only needed one for the race car so have the other free if you are interested.
