Sierra Indicator Stalk

My Hazard switch is playing up on the Locost. The ratchet mechanism is wearing and it won't stay latched down correctly and causes the indiactors to not work. If I push the hazard switch in a tiny amount then they work fine.

So has anyone out there got the stalk unit kicking around in the dust anywhere?

Cheers.

mine did the same.

I took the red cover off and pilled the bidy out of the column.......then gently with a toothbrush and wd40 gave it a good clean and it worked as good as new!

Dirty gets embedded in the moulded plastic "tracks" which the latching pin follows....it's probably this causing the problems,

I already did that chap, stripped the whole unit down and cleaned/lubricated everything.but it looks like the 'V' in the latching part is wearing, and the button comes up a little too far when latched in the 'down-off' position. So when I press it down just a fraction of a mm the indicators work fine.

I guess I may be able to 'weld' a little plastic back in and shape it to see if that works?
