I'm building up a rover v8 to run on an mbe 941/970 ecu (ignition and fuel), standard 3.9 injectors/pressure, plenum etc. Just wondered if anyone out there has a chipfile for a similar set up (basically standard engine) which would be in the ball park to start with saving me starting from scratch?.

No one's replied, so I'll ask the obvious question first

If you're doing an installation of a standard engine, why aren't you using the Range Rover ecu - it's got the exact map your engine needs, along with all the wiring connectors etc etc. So simple.

The other point I'd make, is if you are insisting on using an aftermarket ecu, perhaps a more mainstream item may elicit more responses

All valid points of course!, but i already have all the parts.

The new engine is a combination of parts, but most of it is the serpentine engine without dizzy...and obviosuly the 14cux rover ecu i already have doesn't do sparks. Using the mbe (which i already had) lets me do all the sparks and fuel, but i can also link it into the lpg circuit to run more advance when on lpg which is a much better way to go than messing about with the old clockwork dizzy on the rover. A trigger wheel, couple of coil packs, make up a loom and it's good to go!.

I knew it was a long shot, but you never know if you don't ask!. I've read out the fuel map from the rover 14cux so i can adapt that to get a starting point for the fuel and go from there
