I am having major difficulty finding a steering wheel to fit our restored midget. All the 'MG, Midget, MGB' etc. ones seem to have 52
splines and will not fit our steering shaft which has 36 splines. I gather they changed over at some point but not sure when.
Ours is a 1975 Plastic Bumber 1500 model, and I now have a steering wheel which will not fit. I can fit the wheel to another Boss if I can find one to
fit the midget column.
Anyone have anything that may suit? I've tried the bay-of-E and all I get is the 52 spline versions.
The wheel I have is a Mota Lita which has nine equally-space holes, but I may be able to modify a Momo Boss to suit.
Thanks.

is this of any use?
LAND ROVER DEFENDER STEERING WHEEL BOSS KIT 36 Spline 16mm
measure your shaft, if it's 16mm an early Land Rover boss may fit.
Thanks for that.
I have measured the shaft, and it is .689" (17.5mm) from spline crest to spline crest and 36 splines, so I don't think it will fit.
Sounds like it may fit but he may be measuring differently. Worth a question to the seller.
