I've got a 205 block pinto complete with EFI (you'll probably not want that bit) clutch and alternator if that's any good - freight is £40 it's already on a pallett ready to go.

Not that difficult to source individually. the zetec engine needs the water pump from the 1.6 or 1.8 escort then a bearing tapping into the end of the crank to carry the lay shaft. the sandard zetec clutch can be used but a capri bearing is really needed to get the full use from the clutch plate. Standard type nine then a megajolt plenty out there along with maps for the engine

ive got a 1700 crossflow that may be for sale

its currently in the car (mk1 escort) so you can try before you buy

1700 crossflow - 1300 pistons pocketed for high lift cam
burton power unleaded ported and polished head, double springs, steel rocker posts and spacers
234 cam on vernier duplex set up with uprated iwiss chain, cam timed at 103 degrees
reground crank with new shells and thrusts
original italian weber 40s, fully reconditioned
omex mapped ignition - engine is running trigger wheel and tps set up and with coil pack
hi pressure oil pump, new alternator
flywheel with 5 speed clutch
rolling roaded at northampton motorsport - 117bhp / 115 nm

its not really for sale but if someone brought 2k cash with them id be very tempted, you could thrash it round the block and then we can pull it out and take it home if you like it

So its no point in buying it now then.
As with the other bits i need to get that would have been more in my price range

Still looking

scootz - 4/10/14 at 12:33 PM

I have a 2.0 Pinto on Weber 40's which allegedly has a ported / polished head and fast road cam (never inspected the ports - the camshaft has HR 330 stamped on the end). Allegedly made 155bhp on the Bogg Brothers dyno (previous owner said I could call them to confirm - I haven't).

Certainly pulls like a train and is more rapid than any of the previous Pinto's I've owned!

Comes with alloy sump, fairly new looking alternator / leads, Lumenition electronic ignition, mild steel exhaust manifold, standard clutch / bell housing, and good Type 9. Pretty much plug 'n' play.

Could secure to a pallet and deliver for £70.

Open to offers...

why

arrow-engineering - 16/10/14 at 09:42 PM

ive got another crossflow on the build at the moment

spec is

1700 high compression 1300 pistons pocketed for high lift cam
244 cam
piper vernier duplex
light flywheel
brand new fully flowed head, 3 angle seats
lots of nice trick bits like burton thermostat housing, removeable timing cover
steel posts
reground crank and arp rod bolts
hp oil pump
new water pump

ill be pitching it around £1750

i can provide all the jetting specs to get the engine up and running on a set of 40s.
