Were's the cheapest place to buy alloy hubs for cortina uprights, I've looked on rally design and at hi-spec ones. Who else supplies then.

Thanks in advance

Pretty damn cheap here. Can have them in nice anodised finishes too.

Has anyone had any dealings with/bought stuff from Compbrake? I've never heard of them but I'm in the market for some hubs too and those are very good prices - what's the quality like though? ie are the bearings going to spin in the hubs after a couple of weeks.......

Hi Had some dealings with them early on. Service was good. But quality of parts was shocking. Hubs that had wrong dia holes for studs/bearings. M/Cyls that where failing after a short time looked like girling ones but where not girling. Gave up and spend a few £'s extra for quality elsewhere.

Cheers Matt

Cheers Matt, I was actualy going to u2u you about them but I did a bit of googling and came up with enough similar opinions/experiences to yours to put me off anyway

I think compbrake is run by the people who were behind TAS, they sold crap, I had a quickrack of them that snapped in 2, and a brake bias bar that did the same! I also heard lots of simular horror stories. I dont believe they knew anything about spec of materials or correct heat treatment, beware!

Cheers men, just ordered a set from rallydesign.

I had used TAS in the past and the stuff they made was SH1T to be nice about them, as was said above nothing ever fitted, and often broke.

Thanks for all your help men.

Mine have been 100% fine since fitting 2 years ago. No complaints here !! I did have to drill out the holes as said, but that wasnt a problem as I was fitting 14mm Gp A studs anyway.

Thanks
