Looks like a GTS to me - I wonder if dan_miles_mini is really someone who has been discussed many times on this forum before

Mr Whippy - 22/9/09 at 12:15 PM

hmm tbh I think his final valuation is optimistic at best and I hardly describe a locost as a prototype

Its a GTS and upstreet means it'll be GTS as in another thread...

I know he seems to be doing a lot better these days.

Generically saying though, would you give someone £4,000 to finish a car for you and then give it to you eventually.

Whether its Darren or not, i'd think twice about the deal.

I saw this last night and was wondering about him as i knew someone of that name many years ago in that area , if his dads name is Roger then it may well be.

It is Darren from GTS.

I bought some suspension bushes from him, on Ebay.

It is currently also being discussed on Haynes forum.

The bushes are spot on, with what appear to be Stainless crush tubes (they are advertised as stainless). Everything fit in my wishbones perfectly.

They were well packed, but it did take 9 days for them to arrive, which I thought was a bit slow for something that should have been already packed up.

Apart from being slow to post I am very happy with them, and the price I paid.

How do I know it's him?? The return address on the box was for GTS Tuning

The car appears on Darrens web site!!

"Due to the number of projects i currently have in progress i'm short of capital to finish this prototype"

Sounds about right.

I pity anyone that falls for this.

GTS for sure hes also selling fibreglass panels using this name. Adress is the same as GTS

l0rd - 22/9/09 at 06:36 PM

So he is selling the prototype car.

I had enquired about this car on a LHD version. Never got a reply.

took me while to even find his address on the web as he never seems to have it on the sites contacts, just looks like a farm yard

Ben_Copeland - 23/9/09 at 12:58 PM

Farm yard opposite i believe, he's on a little industrial estate with a load of car garages

Went down and saw what there is of the project car on saturday. Looks like it will be quite interesting, still quite a bit of work to do on it though.

Also saw some of the GTs40 chassis bits and a couple of other car under construction. Looks busy

Would have been a good buy for someone, at £4k for an on the road car
