as we all know the s/h 240v ac/dc tig market is almost always thin on the ground.
i know thoes chinease things have been trouble but i now see a few badged up with reconisable names on the side so whats the crack any one actuly got
one and had trouble?
i tryed out one once with a butters on the side witch looked like what is now all over fleabay wse200p or somthing
but i see now wilkinson star (cebora dist), parweld, newarc, tec arc and meny others are now selling them.
if not has anyone seen or used a reasonable priced ac/dc tig with the needed controls (ballance,amps,gas time and slope)
i only need it for hobby use so i not looking for 2k with all the bells you know what i meen
A few of us bought on a group buy on here a couple of years ago. Mines been no trouble at all 200 amp ac/dc and I've used it to make quite a few of my bits in steel and alloy.
I have an ac/dc 160amp tig from here.

mine is a wse 200 and never been a prob. the reason the used ones are thin on the ground is noone wants to sell what is really good.
worth every penny new.
i have got an ac/dc cebora one with all the bells and whistles absolutely blooming fantastic welder and with the parweld ergotig torch on it its even better.

I would ask myself the following questions.
How much am I going to use it?
Can I get it fixed if it goes wrong?

I also ask how much space have i got for it?
That is the problem that means i'm doing my best not to buy any more toys and i've come to the realisation in the last week i just
don't have the garage space.
oh well took a risk and got one from a uk supplyer (wsme200 with peddal) for 399.01 inc vat and postage
it looks much the same as one i used from butters amt 4 years ago what worked fine when i used it
i have also seen (in the flesh) what looked exactly the same with sevral diffrent colours of case in brands javarc,newarc,tecarc,parweld,swp
and meny diffrent names off internet most of the model names are simular.
no idea if thay are all the same inside we will never know
just have to see how it goes

be also good to hear anyones feed back good and bad who owns a simular tig
well got one from uk supplyer
main unit seems ok but i would be keeping it well away from grinding dust its not that sealed if you know what i meen it will screw the hf circuit
when the filings get in and the foot control is a bit choice but works
it does work ok in ac and dc pritty good im happy for the money
also use the 160amp ac/dc from r-tech welding, very nice and good vfm
