Hi.
I'll be doing my first trackday and I was advised to get arches stone protections.
I'd prefer carbon fibre ones as my car is yellow and carbon (effect).
I also saw some 3M protection film, but I suspect it wont protect much...
Opinions?
Thanks,
Joao
PS: I don't want spend a fortune like £400 for VentureShield or RhinoProtect...
The 3m film is as used on helicopter rotor blades,so may be more protective than you think.
If you want real carbon fibre try
http://www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk
They do some lovely stuff
looking at the stone guards myself

the thick 3M stuff is great. I got a sheet on e bay for fifteen quid and i managed to squeeze both sides out of it. very tough as it is proper carbon
on a sticky 3m backing.
worked a treat
one of the kit car parts supplier sell carbon fibre sheet that you use resin to apply so not yer nasty stick on stuff.
I'm pretty sure it is be europa spares (if not, the RD or Burton).
I posted about this stuff in the past.
It is shonw applied to mirrors and dashboards and looks fine; a simple cruve panel like your rear wings should be a piece of cake to do.
