How have people fitted air scoops as i have used the black (i got with it) gue twice and it still pulls away, there is a bit of force on the scoop to follow the profile of the bonnet, can anyone suggest a glue method that has been used, would ultra sonic welding work with abs and grp?

I doubt ultrasonic welding would work.

Surface preparation is key with bonding. You should mark the GRP around the scoop and abrade it with wet and dry, then clean it with brake cleaner. Do a similar thing on the scoop and get the best fit possible shape wise, then bond it with a two part epoxy, we use 3M 9323 and thats strong sh*t. Might be worth considering using a couple of M3 countersink or button head screws as anti-peel screws. No glue is strong in peel so you need to stop it starting to peel off.
