If it sticks up less than 5mm then you dont need a radius!

eccsmk - 12/4/08 at 10:20 AM

they are rivetted flat to my rear wings and are around 2mm thick so maybe i could get away with them??

graememk to late they are on

I had my car SVAd with no stone guards - easier that way. Afterwards I used tadpole beading, but it was difficult to get very neat round the corners. I later changed the rear wings and made my own stone guards from thin ali. I rivetted them on with not much gap between the rivets and didn't put any edging on. I think unless the edges really are sharp, it can look "cleaner" with no edging

I'm using this myself

I dont see what the issue is!

My windscreen supports are made from 5mm steel plate with NO radiued edges.....the tester was a bit grumpy about it, but because it didnt stick up more than 5mm he couldnt class it as a sharp edge....ergo, no failure, no issue!
