Has anyone who previously had a windscreen fitted and changed to an aeroscreen regretted it?.I am wondering as when I got my car it didnt have a
windscreen (was busted and had been removed).I made it my first purchase and then fitted a soft top and side screens and a heater for demmisting
windscreen wipers etc.etc.In an effort to make it an everyday car for work 8-9mths of the year.
I have since found out that all that money and time hasnt really paid off as much as I would of liked.still get wet and steams up inside, awkward to
get in and out etc.So was thinking next winter's project could be stripping all the stuff I put in last winter and just going for it come rain or
shine.Thing is I work nights, can go to work in the evening lovely sun, come home in the morning piddling down. What do you think?any thoughts on this.
Personally i'd have to say a se7en really isnt an everyday car and i'd just keep it as a toy myself - even if that means you need a cheap
runaround as a first car.
My old zetec car was a nightmare to drive in the wet - got caught out once in a downpour and was being overtaken by caravans!! I vowed that day to
never suffer the indignity of being overtaken by one of those GRP boxes again!!
I had a windscreen and went for an aeroscreen and love it.
It only ever gets driven in the dry anyway and believe it or not I get less buffeting without the screen and its much nicer to drive.
Screens are over-rated IMHO.
I'm with you on this - helmet and one-piece winter clobber over the work suit. Think of the 7 as a very practical motorbike rather than a less
practical car.
