Hi all.

I just got home from a trip abroad and I'm tired. decided to have 10 miles out in the kit, just cam home took bonnet off to check a cable,

then heard the noise which anyone whose done it wil know.

that'll be the bonnet blowing over, why i didn't lay it down i don't know. but now it looks like i've got to repaint it!

SO

question

How long does 2k paint last for? I have some paint hardener thinners etc left over from last year. Wil it still be ok?

again dam and blast

I think a good percentage of us can relate to your pain, No idea about paint though

As long as it has not gone below 0°C it will be fine

Yes, done it before. You're certainly not alone. And you would have thought I'd learnt after doing it once. Having said that, damage wasn't as bad as when an old cat' converter fell from the garage eaves onto the leading edge of the bonnet (which was stood on its end at the time) That one hurt

With regard to 2K paint. The damage to the front edge of the bulge from it falling over was touched up with a little brush. I didn't bother with any hardener as it was only smallish scrapes. Seemed to go off ok.

Ours is a bit of a mess, mainly my fault though as I never seem to learn

I've not stood on it ... yet
