Using VE analyse in TunerStudio

I am at the point of starting to get my project driving. The current fuel mapping in Microsquirt is now at the point
where it starts and runs but applying throttle it stumbles. Can I use VE analyse to get the stationary running when revving up
better, or is it's use confined to driving? There's been no initial map, I've started from scratch.
The engine is a Ford Granada I4 8v, completely rebuilt, tubular exhaust manifold, cleaned up head and the distributor
has been deleted and replaced with a lost spark coil pack. No comments about the engine choice, the project has been rather long term
and it's meant to be a reliable and economical cruiser for wifey (it's in a Ford Pop).

You can, but it's really better for polishing a tune rather than sorting out fundamentals. Your engine needs to be running for it to be able to take readings over a period of time. When you say it stumbles, does it cut out? Can you increase engine speed if you add throttle really slowly? email me some MLG log files at dave@smithfamily.org.uk and I'll see if I can see anything obvious. Log the engine starting, idling for about 30 seconds and then various attempts to get it to run faster.
