hi, has anyone got a simple wiring diagram for a 1.6 ohc pinto engine? because i want to get my fire damaged car back on the road quick!!!!! I want to make the most of this weather!!!!! do i need an ignition module for it to run? itsrunning on a points dizzy by the way.

A points dizzy doesn't need an ignition module to run - you just need a coil and the dizzy.

Someone should be along with a diagram soon but it's pretty easy.

how about this:




The only difference is that this is for a single cylinder engine so the HT lead goes to the dizzy first then the plugs but otherwise the principle is the same. the ignition switch goes in between the battery and the coil

The diagram above is for a positive earth vehicle, not the usual negative earth cars of today, but shouldn't be too hard to figure that out.
