Megasquirt queries....

I have recently bought a set of GSXR 600 throttle bodies for my 4AGE and am now frantically trying to get up to speed with my options in terms of the ECU. So far I am leaning towards the Megasquirt setup and have been browsing the topics on the MS forum. Having quickly looked at an assembly manual I think it is almost within my 'mechanical fingers' to assemble one. However the things that are not that clear yet are the differences between the boards V2.2 and 3, also the cost, most of the costs I see are for partial kits. What other components are required and are they readily available in the UK?

Also I read that it should take something like 6 hours for an average builder to assemble the board, is that realistic even if I allowed 10 hours. What I am thinking is that I regularly do 'extra' work from home and get paid quite well for it. It may be the case that it is cheaper for me to buy or get someone to supply me a ready assembled unit. Is there anyone out there in LocostBuilders land that would do this and what sort of cost would be involved?

Hi,


i have just built a V3 board for myself, if you wanted i could build your sup for you FOC(give me something to do on nights)

i use the electronics workshop at work, can build test and do a burn in test once completed, let me know.


bought my kit from ebay, and it was complete, but i think the partial kit just contains the main bits(pcu processor etc) you need to get all the capacitors, resistors etc.

That's my site alright.

I'm afraid I'm stalled at the moment.

Due to a voluntary operation on my right foot I'm currently on crutches. Have been for 12 weeks plus and look like being that way till Xmas and beyond for physiotherapy.

Hopefully I will carry on around springtime.
