I don't believe there are any that currently pass SVA.

Premier sell some 110mm lights, but I understand they come from a motorbike so dip incorrectly (I had a peek at the lenses at Harrogate and
couldn't see an arrow pointing to the right)

I think the 4" are as supplied by GTS too.
Somebody on here had some dead sexy compact twin lamp unit, which IIRC were from some custom bike/car site. I doubt they were SVA, but if anybody
recalls them I'd be grateful.
When I MOT'd 2 years ago I discovered then that my Cibie Bi-Oscars (with s/lamp) were r/h dipping; the obliging MOT tester just got some black
tape and 'adjusted' them a la holiday in mainland Europe!
Situation has not changed from my last posting about smaller lensed headlights. I'm still asking lighting companies if they know of any lenses
that have main bean and dip and are UK legal - the answer is still no.
I have asked 3 companies that supply the smaller lights into the kit car market if they can state that the lights are UK legal. One would not comment
and two said no they weren't.
Don't think my product liability insurance would cover my selling not road legal lighting, knowingly!!
However - if anyone out there knows of a lens, we will make a housing for it.

Been having a think (dangerous I know) based on your liability insurance comment.
How would an insurance company deal with a kit that had non SVA lights fitted post test? Assuming the accident had happened at night, if the other
driver said they'd been dazzled I suspect things could get ugly. Hearing stories about some insurance companies wriggling to find a way to avoid
paying out I'd expect some to use it against you even during the day.
does some H4 headlight wich are bigger then 100mm..

There was a posting on the Westfield site (sorry to use the "W" word so early in the morning), a couple of years ago by a guy who worked as
insurance assessor.
He warned against the use of 4" lights for just that reason. If you modify your car (he said) in a way that the insurance comapny could say
made it not road legal, they could claim that you had made the insurance invalid and walk away from any claim.
Would an insurance company do that, do you think ?

Seems to me that there is definitely a market out there for smaller headlights. Steve, can you not convince the lense manufacturers to do a low volume
run of smaller lenses that have main beam and dip and are UK legal, just to test the market?
Or have you already tried and it's not quite that simple?

Yes Phil – I agree and I’m still trying to get a company to make some 4” lenses – the problem is when I say 2 to 3 thousand a year they walk away.
Think I saw you at Harrogate – sorry I didn’t come over to say hello but we were a bit rushed (sign of a good show!).
As far as I know, motorbike lights that are fitted to the front forks, and so move with the steering, dip down. Those that fit fairings dip left and
have the arrow moulded into the inner face of the lens. Both are “E” marked, but as a guy at GTS said to me about their lights “We never said they
were “E” marked for CARS!”
