I haven't started mine up yet so I can't say too much, but my first thought would be to wonder if the battery is dead?

If not, do you have any pics of the wiring?

James

i dont have any pics as yet, could maybe get some tomorrow...most wiring was done by a bit of logic and guesswork to be honest...

The other battery wire?
Electricity in the battery?
The main fuse?
A complete circuit?
A wiring loom?

A few fundamental things that could be missing

Your going to have to give a few more clues!

your only allowed to pick one thing at a time...

i checked the battery, its full of charge...
the main fuse is okay,
the loom i think is from rapid fit looms...

its a 98 r1 engine by the way...

The obvious thing would be to check you have earthed the loom, engine and chassis properly back to battery -ve.

Once you confirm that then start checking for 12V with a multimeter at the permanent live where it goes to your ignition switch and then go from there.

As mentioned, you have virtually no chance of sorting it out without a multimeter. I got a dinky new one off ebay for £5 delivered and it does all the basic things quite nicely.
