I've got the 1.3 polo/golf rad. Slightly wider at 430mm core than the 1lt 380mm rad that fits a seven. The VW Santana 1.6(?) rad also fits (just) and is even wider at 530mm if your marginal on cooling. They're all the same design/layout but different width core.

(sizes are from memory so take with a inch of salt)

Mine was built with an Escort Mk2 radiator to go with the Crossflow. It seems to keep the new Duratec temperature steady, but I haven't had a proper run out for a good amount of time yet.

The Escort radiator is a bit tall so it's been installed leaning back by about 30*, which isn't ideal without shrouding. Even so, it sticks out under the bonnet by about an inch. A lot of air probably just blows over the face instead of through the fins. From memory, the Polo radiator is about 70mm shorter but about 70mm wider, so that should allow me to tilt it forward. It also has pipe fittings in a more convenient location.

I'm having trouble finding a replacement radiator for my Zetec Fury - the old one has a 430mm x 320mm core - The two locating pins are at the top , so I think it's mounted upside down., but when in place in the car the inlet & outlet are on the left side (seen from the driver's seat) and a fan temperature switch screwed into a boss on the right side. It also has a bleed pipe (or drain pipe if upside down) at the upper right.

It has a sticker on saying SPI (on a shield) 100 , but google doesn't help more than it being some SPI radiator , can't work out what.

I can only find a Polo 1.3 radiator with a 380mm core on EuroCarParts , I tried all years from about 1980 to 2000 - Part No.: 203440491

Anyone know exactly the right 430mm rad for a Fury , and where I can get one?

thanks
James
