In car Video Camera

I'm looking to spend £2-300 on a decent in car video camera with good battery life, quality and memory.

What do you reccommend?

Have a look at MSAR Safety i think he has some footage on a caterham, or at least i have seen footage on caterham and quality was really good.

I've got a dogcam pro 520 linked into an old MiniDV tape camera for my bike stuff @ www.Youtube.com/paulthe6th

http://dogcamsport.co.uk/ - they have lots of different quality camera's, solid state recorders, mounts, kits - the works! Apparently top gear use them as well?

I have a decent miniDV camera for TV quality stuff. I have just ordered an MD80 for YouTube/interweb quality video. See link below, but note that I paid substantially less than that price! A lot of info on the camera on Blat Chat.

Further to my previous post, we also use an on board camera called 'Contour HD'. Here is a link to some recent rally on-board we shot from a mk2 escort....

And product info:

http://www.contour-hd.co.uk/?gclid=CN_Zl_bhlJ4CFUtp4wodZ3dQqg

We found the contour very easy to use with minimal setup, and you simply slide the record button to set it away. It says it's mainly a helmet camera but you can and we did modify it to fit on to a roll cage with no problems at all. The picture quality is very good, though audio can distort sometimes, and this may be an issue with wind deflection in an open top kit car for instance. We have just got a go pro HD camera in and will test that very soon, so I shall post up another link of the footage when the time comes.

Cheers

Ben

£11, I'm intrigued, please tell. Is it still available at that price, if so, where?

Cheers

Well, I've got one on order!

Mine cost me £11.50 post-free - that's inflation for you...
