hello pal and welcome to the nut house lol you will find some very good people on here and a wealth of info all the best paul
Hi and welcome to the forum.
You can certainly use the engine and box and i cant see any
reason why you cant use the axle.
I am no expert when it comes to live axle cars but there will be
others who are.
Good luck with the build,
Andy
Yes, definately post some pics so we can see whats doing. Welcome to the Forum. Theres expertise and lunacy here in bucketfulls.

Yep axle is no problem, its 4" wider than the escort. I made the wishbones 4" wider to match. Others havnt.
You may want to adjust the chassis around the nose of the diff. Do a search on Mark Allanson, he did some diagrams. Saves on the trial and error.
thanks guys for the warm welcome!
im planning to iva it in the future, but will be using it for autotesting when its at a useable stage in the build...
the capri was in a very sorry state,in facct when retrieving the engine /box i tied my discoveryv8 to the door pillar ,towed the car on to its side
and the engine/box stayed on the ground!!!
so nothing else is savageable off the car but, ma m8 has a 1.2 zetec fegga, would items such as pedal box, rad, etc etc be of any use to me before i
waste any time stripping??
i will post some pics soon!!
cheers

Welcome donskye,,, I'm also new but unlike you I'm not building my own, hopefully buying one with in the next fews day, already built and
road legal.. Less hastle
Or am I just lazy

wanting it to be wide and low so im pritty chuffed its compatable!!

The only issue with the Capri is the front suspension, it uses Mcpherson struts. All is not lost though as you can modify them in a similar way to the
Sierra setup, just needs a bit of thought. If you can find some Cortina hubs, it will save a lot of time
its just finding cortina hubs thats the prroblem!! unless any of you guys are willing to part with????!!!
must be cheap tho as ive loadsa time, but no money!! dam resession!!!
Welcome to the forum! I love Skye, I want another milkshake from the hippy kind of cafe in Portree

Welcome... but one thing Donskye... where's yer troosers?
Going rate on the tina uprights is around £80 but it would save working out the new top wishbones that you would need.

capri engine box and axle will be fine! I'm using modified Capri uprights on my Mojo. I got them modified by Jeremy Philips at Sylva so might be worth seeing if he's got any more info?

Capri axle is good choice better tyre clearancethan the narrower escort axle.
At the front just use a Sierra based double wishbone conversion.
