go to google, type in locost, and hit 'im feeling lucky'.
And I remember when we had just over a 100 members and TOL mattered....!

this is quite a litlle comunity we have now.
Though Gusto doesn't have much longer at the top of the post list
I give it 6 months
Awesome
I've just had a look and there are over 4500 members now! It's certainly much livelier on here than other forums I've tried,
I know I spend far too much of my time on here!
Pete
I am also a great fan of this comunity . I am a member of most of the Locost lists on Yahoo and see may others from there here where it really
delivers is that Photos can be included in the posts and boy does that make a difference !!!!!
As for the people I feel a real sense of community / family here and the enthuisiasm of some contribuiters is inspirational.
Keep up the good work chaps

Best wishes
Iain
I like it here becuase its mostly UK based. YOu guys know your sports cars. Not like here where they have to have A/C and power everything. We cant
even get an Elise here in Canada
Also, the guys here are great. Tons of information to be found and in an easy read format. Dont even get me started on the Yahoo lists
A great community and I pity the guys who had to build their cars before the forum existed!
As yet there is no question I have not had an answer to and everyone is prepared to go out of their way to help which is great.
Considering we now have so many members we should really think about sorting some Locostbuilders trackdays, if we get the numbers we could get them
really cheap.
Rich.
Good idea Shortie, we'd possibly need to form an official "club" to do that kind of thing though, in the same vein as WSCC and the
Sylva club etc?
cheers
Chris
But not that hard to sort, same as SELOC (Lotus owners), they did exactly what we could do, I'll have an ask on their forum about it.
Rich.
Well done chrisdubya
i bet he never thought it would turn into such an animal.
About time he finished his viento though
but bob he'd have to stop fiaffing about with fiesta's and zetec's first
quote:Who'd think of driving a open top car with no doors and windscreen and then omit a/c and pas and electrics!!!!Unthinkable.Although I've always wondered why the elecy windows,c/l and sunroof were difficult to fit.The 10 disc changer jumps a bit in mine......

The 'club' already exists - it's called the Locost Owners Club!!!
Costs you a tenner a year, but you get this back straight away with insurance discounts.
Go on, join, you know it makes sense!
I'll admit, it does have a bit of a northern slant at the moment, but that's because most of the committee live up here. We need southern
representatives to be a viable national club, but we try to organise track days and events throughout the year. The regular monthly meets see at least
10 cars on the road, in Yorkshire anyway, but the more the merrier!!

Only power option I would like to install is a power windshield. Keep it very low as a wind deflector and be able to raise it when the bugs get a
bit thick. Extra weight and a hastle so its not likely going to happen. Marlin has a nice folding screen on there sportster as an option.
