I'm a fraud investigator and my job occasionally strays into this kind of arena, although I'm usually finding people who really don't want to be found!!

I'd happily have a look for you or alternatively if you want to do it yourself I have a few genealogy books I could lend you.

EDIT - Just noticed your location - are you looking for someone over here or in Mexico, I imagine the Mexico one would be a little trickier.
