Should I or Should I NOT?
l0rd - 6/2/10 at 10:22 PM

Need to cut my desk so i can put it in the car to take it for recycling.

Now, I have a Jigsaw which will make my life easier but:

I only have some HSS blades for steel.

Should i use these? or Do i need to buy new ones to cut it off?

I use metal blades for wood all the time when I can't be arsed to change blades Takes a lot longer though. For a desk I'd use a decent hand saw

you can use the HSS blades, but they will get very hot, clog up and be quite slow in comparison to dedicated wood blades.

personally i would use an old fashioned hardpoint handsaw.

axe. The original tool for cutting wood

I'd not bother with the car, the van's much bigger. How about Freecycle?

Well, my hacksaw is 120 miles away. Don't have anything else to cut wood.

Well, the desk is 80cm wide, 1.8m long and 2cm thick.

This could well be my option.

me personally? I'd just lob the first 4foot of my cock on it, but then I am talented in these areas of cock size and forumtimewasteage...........

Ninehigh - 6/2/10 at 11:48 PM

Your cock shouldn't have any feet

If you're going to freecycle why not just ebay it yourself and pocket the money?

Have seen a few people take things off freecycle and then the exact same item's on ebay the same day

Can't poot it on ebay or freecycle as I have had one corner cut allready in order to fit better my last flat.

Snuggs - 7/2/10 at 07:49 AM

Just leave it outside and it will disappear in an hour

eznfrank - 7/2/10 at 08:52 AM

Is it chipboard? If so just stanley knife a line where you want to cut to split the laminate, lean against a wall and give it a good boot!!

speedyxjs - 7/2/10 at 09:08 AM

Take it out into the street and drive into it. Should get it to small enough peices to fit into your car
