Vulcan at Waddington???
andrew-theasby - 1/7/10 at 02:16 PM

Anybody any inside info whether the vulcan stands a chance of flying at waddington this weekend? Been following the website for a while and it still sounds doubtful. Is There anywhere else around North Yorkshire that its due to fly later in the year? Id love to see it before its grounded forever.

On Lincs FM about 30 mins ago on the news they said its in the air now with the CAA man to try and fast-track an air-worthiness certificate

So looking good if you're going

Love to see and hear it again, just sad that they seem to have been against the clock to get it airborn?

I think it's supposed to be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Sunday.

Fingers crossed it turns up, I missed it at Biggin Hill last year

I work at Waddington myself, we are all hoping it flys and everyone is confident it will

I'm pretty sure we just saw it over Wiltshire!

Nothing else looks like it that I know of so I wonder if it is visiting Fairford prior to the show in a couple of weeks?

Last I heard was that it would display only IF everything went EXACTLY to plan this week - no updates on how it went. It may, of course, be on static display only like last year!

The Vulcan is based at Lyneham at the moment, hence it might be seen over wilts test flying.

The Vulcan WILL be in the skies at airshow.

The Vulcan will be flying at this years Waddington Airshow.

After a successful test flight yesterday, the Civil Aviation Authority has today approved it's licence to display.

Last year, the historic aircraft was grounded after a problem with the same licence....now though it's been fast-tracked through, meaning the bomber can attend
