Anyone on here a genius mixer? I'm trying to get my 6XEP to do something quite simple but I'm damned if I can work out how to do it!
When I'm solo launching my Zagi I'm launching the plane with my left hand and controlling the elev/air with my right. Trouble is, that means
I have to turn the throttle on full wallop with my third hand
before launching or trying launching with the motor off (which takes some serious
grunt) and then quickly reach down and power up.
My plan was to try and create a mix so that I could use the channel 6 toggle switch as a 0/100% mix with the throttle. IE I switch Ch6 to
"off", put the throttle to full power, then holding the plane in my left hand flip the Ch6 toggle with my index finger and launch it. Makes
sense?
Trouble is when I've tried doing a throttle/ch6 mix it doesn't work because you the mixing is really an addition process rather than a
multiplication.....
So I'm a bit stumpted. I've got two programmable mixes but I don't think that helps... Anyone a genius at these things?
Or I am I trying to do something impossible?
U2U stuart_g he has a zagi and ibelieve has flown planes for years.
Do you use elevon mixing etc.
If not could you use the heli idle up function.
Or you need a peddal launcher

Sorry if ive misunderstood but i (flying mode 2 also) used to launch mine with right hand then bring it straight back on to the transmitter to control
it. Left hand just held the transmitter and when i was ready to launch just open the throttle with your chin. Never had any trouble doing it that
way. Or if youve got enough power you could just underarm launch like a delta?

I know how to do it on a ff9. I have a zagi too. I'm sure there are instructions on rc universe for setting it up on your box. You should be able to fly it on one stick if you set it up correctly.
I could launch it in the right hand but I'm left handed so I'd be more likely to crock it up that way and my reactions aren't what they
used to be. I'd crash before my R hand found the control (especially as sometimes I'm doing cross wind take-offs
so need to get on the
stick quite quickly to correct ).
Perhaps the simplest is to plug a 2nd speed controller (they're hardly heavy nowadays) into Ch6 and feed the signal through both!! Not sure
it'd work but hey!
Ouch. Just got bitten by my zagi prop
I've got a loose connection near the speedo. I was doing some static tests when the motor went off. Went
to open up the cover and the motor switch on again. Ouch!!!
Anyway, had another fiddle and worked out the mix. Channel3 (master), channel 6 (slave), 100%.
Procedure=
Put channel 6 in "on" position and throttle fully back, switch on receiver, then switch ch6 to off, full throttle, launch zagi, flip 6 to
give power.
