Hello All.
I have an old ball valve system in my mother’s loft tank that is dripping; I want to change the washer in it but can't seem to buy one. (Well I could at my local pluming centre if I brought a box of assorted washers at £7.50)
It is larger than a standard ball valve system attaching directly to a 22mm pipe.
The washer is about 1" diameter by about 1/4" thick (it is a washer Not a diaphragm)
Can any of you advise me where I might buy one? Maybe on the net somewhere?

Martin.

Hi. I was thinking that a new unit wouldn't be too much, but firstly are the larger units readily available and secondly I can change the washer without too much hassle.

Are you sure its 22 not 3/4? You can still get a new valve that goes straight to 3/4.

If you go to a proper old type plumbers merchant not a chain like plumb base then youl get a washer on its own no bother.

Temporary fix is to turn the washer round if its not already been done.
