What age are your kids if you don't mind me asking?
two girls 12 and 10 and they love shopping and eating so are having a great time. My mum and Dad arrive tomorrow they have been on a cruise for 2
weeks and will be joining us for a few days. Its my second time in new york the last time was with my brother for a friends stag do so this time has
been less beer and more sight seeing
very envious, somewhere I've always wanted to visit but something has always prevented me from going (normally lack of funds
)
Must cross this one of my mental list of things to do.

If you can get a hire car, it's worth a drive out on Long Island. I spent a lot of time out there, many moons ago. The sound side has some really
picturesque spots.
And Uwe's bar in Oyster Bay is where Billy Joel hangs out, and still plays there on the piano on odd occasions, as he has a quiet glass.
He's written of the place in a few songs.
Orange County Choppers isn't far from NYC as well.
Cheers,
Nev.
