Another Ebay Q...
Richard Quinn - 6/3/11 at 08:06 PM

Ok so my car has been on ebay as a classified ad and now just ended. During that time I had 4 formal offers and 3 swap/part ex offers (none of which were suitable (practically rather than commercially)). The listing had 2700 views and finished with 69 people watching which leads to my question... Why do people watch classified ads?

watching anything on ebay is just a good way to track stuff you're interested in...
maybe they were watching yours and some other cars as well?

Maybe they want to sell something similar and are watching it to see what kind of price they go for

But they won't know if it sold or for how much from a classified

To be honest I often watch things I have no intention of buying, either just out of interest, or I have the same I would sell depending on the price.

People often watch on ebay cos there's nothing better on the telly

Because dreaming is free and your car isnt. I often watch things I like but cant buy.

Yes, I can understand that with auction listings. I do that occasionally too just to see what stuff ends up going for.

I watch stuff I know I cant afford!

50 - odd people on here might have been 'watching' - I personally wasn't, but I was watching CD Thompson's DAX out of interest.
