missed that the first time, but would you have thought a techno song was called 'addagio for strings'

I was going to reply when this was first posted, but then I saw that marcyboy had already given Orbit as an answer so didn't bother. When it was
repeated on tv the other day it reminded me of the thread so I checked back and lo and behold it had popped back to the top still unresolved, so I
thought I should put you out of your misery
why thankyou it's nice to get recognition
first time i heard barbers addagio for strings was when i saw platoon and since then have heard it numerous times on movies,
it's a bit like listening to E.L.P's fanfare for the common man,
then listening to the original-quite moving
For those of you who dont know it or cant remember how it goes, this link has a 29sec intro. Unfortunately the song doesnt get 'going' until
about a minute but you'll get the drift.

Its a classic, brilliant at good volume in garage during the build with my mate John Smith or Miss Smirnoff in attendance.
no , no ,no nono no no , nono , i dont know it

when I kazzad it, i got 3 versions
william orbits IS a techno version - and it does take a bit to get going - and was the song that was played for most of clarksons hot lap
i found another techno version tooo
and the one from platoon - which ive never seen - which is a lot more sombre and about 9 mins long rather than 6 mins for the techno version
