flak monkey - 9/4/06 at 06:23 PM

Congratulations!!!

Dont let her take control of your car building funds though

rusty nuts - 9/4/06 at 06:40 PM

I married miss Right, she didn't tell me her first name was Always until after wedding. Congrats by the way.

liam.mccaffrey - 9/4/06 at 06:57 PM

ive said that we have to finish the car before we get married, therefore enlisting her willing help from now on

shes really supportive of my hobbies, and i of hers which is good

Danozeman - 9/4/06 at 07:24 PM

Congratulations mate. I asked mine a while ago. a year later i was married.

Watch you bank card. ive survived nearly 2 years of marriage with out her getting hold of it.

Now the babies nearly here im not sure i can hold it off much longer.

Congrats mate... Just remember ... The highs will be higher, and the lows will be lower.

And... Yup... keep a separate "Toy Fund" account, otherwise you will never get any playtime goodies built

Kissy - 9/4/06 at 08:18 PM

I asked my significant other 23 years ago - still haven't finished the car (quite). Still married too; 22 years this year.

bob - 9/4/06 at 08:20 PM

Congratulations to you both

Liam i have only one piece of advice, get as much mucky bedroom fun in as you can because once you say i do in that church you will be on rations

nice one Liam

did it 2 yrs ago and now have a 4 month old son

My advice would be to get the car finished before you get married - it's unlikely you'll get time afterwards.

liam.mccaffrey - 9/4/06 at 09:46 PM

cheers guys really appreciate the kind words,

by the way the toy fund was secured a number of months ago, to avoid any potential problems later on

Chippy - 9/4/06 at 11:13 PM

Congratulations,, I did it forty plus years ago, quite a few ups and down, (some of the ups and down were quite fun, as I recall). Had six kids, and now thirteen grandchildren. Would I do it again, without a shadow of a doubt, YES.

Simon - 10/4/06 at 07:55 PM

Congrats to the pair of you

What you need is the longest "Locost" convoy in history (of guests).

nice one!
I popped the question last year. best thing i've ever done because a few months later we bought our first house and it had a garage, perfect for building a car in
