a guy came onto a building site i was on to do some plumbing or somethin. he had a brand new VW Transporter van which he had remapped. he said it was pushing out 170BHP! Don't know if he was right with that figure but he did say it spins up in 3rd gear in the wet no problem!. Someone else i know has had his GT TDI golf remapped form 130 to 160 a real rocket.

Try ccctech

Give Simon a shout. If I'm (very) lucky he might buy me a pint next time I see him

What car is it for?

My A4 with 158K miles on it has a Dragon diesel chip. Not up to modern diesels but went from 90BHP to 110BHP. Torque went from 130 lb ft to 165 lb ft. Driveability and mpg both improved.

I've just parted with a 150 BHP Bora which was a great car. Had something like 250+ lb/ft torque and could still turn in 45-50 mpg.

A guy I met reckoned he could chip it to around 200 BHP but I never tried it. With 150 BHP the ESP struggled to get the power on the road with 225 rubber.

Nice car though.

My 325TDS was transformed with a Dragon module - wired in parallel to the ECU and a doddle to set up. It has a variable performance adjuster so you can dial in as much power as you like within reason.
The power went up to around 175bhp with buckets of torque - give the petrol version a run for its money and surprises a lot of so called sports cars

I got mine on eBay

My son had his Peugeot 306 tuned by the Dervdoctor a software re-map upped the 90BHP to 120 or so, they do further, more expensive add on chips & intercoolers would add even more power. The torque was an even greater % increase.
Worth a call, a very experienced busy guy.

Im looking at one of these for my passat.

Theirs loads of places that remap them which is apparantly safer than shipping.

I'll second that, I had my 2.5 vw transporter done from 102 to 135hp but its the torque increase thats the best bit.
Great service from Simon and was one of the cheapest. Also the system used is a USA based system and they have a forum on the website to discuss all convertions "warts n all"
