Just thought i would introduce myself

Seen as though I have been a member on this site for a while now and only just started to post i thought i better introduce myself and tell you a little about me.


My name is Tim. Im 19 years old and i live in the paradise that is Oxford. I work as a sales executive for a mobile phone company. I used to be a Mechanic for a french/german car garage but lost intrest in that. Plus there was no money to be made in it!

My plans are to one day completley build a car from frame up. But my girlfriend thinks i should do something more 'helpful to her' instead. So I am on the prowl for a car for sale, and im also winning her around!


Am i the youngest person on here?
Anyone else from Oxford/Oxfordshire?

Get a job at Cowley in the town there and you can build Mini's all day long !!

Seriously though welcome to the fold and when you've spent hours on here and teh girlfriend dumps you then you can build what you want!!

Cheers for the welcome guys.

Aload of my mates work in the Mini factory. They said the money is excelent but the work is RUBBISH! 40 hours a week hitting a rubber cap onto a suspension strut. Thats what one of my mates does. Others like fitting door handles, putting wheels on and putting little pices on dont intrest me.

Plus i have good hours at work for better pay then Mini. How about starting at 6.30am and finishing at 1.30pm.

Hi Tim. Im in a similar situation. Very, very slowly getting a locost plan together. Im 19 studying motorsport engineering at Coventry. Welcome to the suck lol.

Hi tim,

Good to see another Oxford builder!. I used to live in Kennington but am now in the sunny (and cheaper!) delights of Didcot.

If your interested in meeting other owners in the Oxfordshire area we have a meet at the Boundary House in Abingdon, I think its the second Tuesday of the month.

Used to be Playfield Road.

If you do a search for oxford in the club/meeting seciton you should find a few owners local to oxford
