That job is basically for the love of working for the Co. expect to demand around the £40-£45K mark so they do deserve a well qualified guy and he gets a company car!!

I think it's a priceless job...

Alan B - 2/3/07 at 05:30 PM

I've lost touch a bit with UK salaries...how is 40 to 45K considered...poor, average, good?

Just curious?

G.Man - 2/3/07 at 05:38 PM

How many kitcar manufacturers will apply you think?

Bottom end obviously, the good ones have more vision

cct7kitcars - 2/3/07 at 07:25 PM

do you think i should apply for the job

ayoungman - 2/3/07 at 08:07 PM

I'd love that job, its less than 5 minutes from my front door.
Its just a small matter of not having several of the attributes their looking for. Oh, and a degree in the wrong thing

They will probs get someone at that level but to be honest that person will be robbing themselves.

Apart from the test driver bit i could do most of that job but would want more than 45K.

marc n - 2/3/07 at 08:18 PM

yep they want somones soul
you wouldnt even get a decent tset driver for 45k

DarrenW - 2/3/07 at 08:23 PM

I would expect an average chief engineer doing that level of work in the automotive industry could demand easily 80 - 100K a year on top. Possibly a lot more depending on track record.

Alan, I think the average salary in the UK is about £25 - 30k at the moment, but as a self employed person I am probably a bit out of touch.

You know this job?

Would you turn up in the morning only to find that someones already done most of the work for you?

Just wondering

Chris

Surely they'd have done better advertising it anywhere other than the UK... Catherham, Morgan and other large Brits left?
