From the nice clean end of the handrail it missed him/her (just)
Nasty.
Land Rover kebab
Aha! Discovery Kebab.....
Lucky escape by the looks of it!!!
Retro, instant fit, side impact protection bars.
From the second pic, it looks lkike they'd just pulled out of the dealership too.... how embarassing!
damn that is one pimp 'zorst
I saw a BBC prog once (999? duh duh *DUH*) where a guy had the rail go through the engine then through his chest and out the back of the seat
behind.
Just missed his heart/lungs! But must have nicely 'apple-cored' him!
He kept the 4 foot piece of pipe (which the fire crews cut but left in him for the hospital to remove) in the cupboard under the stairs!
woman driver?
Simple repair tho', new head light, new tail light, sorted. Stick it on ebay and your laughin!
Mike
takes a lot to do that to a disco there a tank as they are. luck to get away with that bet the seat has changed color
I did something similar last Xmas. Span off the road in the wife's Fabie VRS and hit the end of those old concrete post and scaffold pole
barriers. the top pole hit the drivers side light cluster, shifted the engine 6" left!, came in under the windscreen, hit the 2.5"
support/brace bar in the dash and ripped it out. The entire dash ended up in the boot, folded in half! Was a very, very near thing, as the pole came
out the back window having passed between me and the passenger. The traffic inspector said I was the luckiest man he's ever meet in his 23 year
career!
unlucky actually ... if you had been lucky you would have missed the pole altogether
I saw a TV programme many years ago (Police motorway type of show) and a guy in a jaguar had hit the central reservation on the M6 and the armco had snapped, come through the front of the car and his chest and out the other side. He was concious and talking when they cut him out, but died later in hospital when they tried to remove the armco. Nasty!
If I could find the pics you'd realise why it was so lucky! The interior of the front end was barely recognisable as a car. And I had just
managed to argue the car down a hill sideways for 40 yds! I thought I'd opted for the soft spot.
