Waterproof Car Covers
pajsh - 13/7/07 at 08:32 PM

Mother in law is moving so my Mk2 Scirocco has to come out of her garage into the cold and wet summer (and winter).

Looking for a decent car cover for long term outside storage and hoping to pay less than £150.

Found these

Anyone any experience or know of any others. I bought a cheepie before from Motorworld for around £20-30 and it was OK for about 2-3 months then started to let water through. Makes a nice indoor cover for the locost now though. TIA

Is she moving into the garage?

I have had a "monsoon" car cover, similar spec to your advert on a car for the last 2.5 years. It was occasionally disturbed by wind, but additional rope secured it.

The main issue was that the hot summer, last year, destroyed it - however, the manufacturer replaced it foc. Suggesting I should take it off if the weather was hot & sunny!!
