Dont you just hate councils.....
Scrouge's
Abuse of power & abuse of the british legal system
Too bad that the local council have nothing better to do.
Don't you just feel sorry for the " Sad sorry individuals" that feel the need to complain. NOT

I know of a house in woldingham near caterham that puts on a similar if not slightly more tasteful (well everyone has their own taste of course) and
collects money for charity.
Sad that the locals have nothing better to do than complain and the council have nothing better to do either.
Ned.
sick Britain
(slightly OT)... why do people always have a go at me round Chrsitmas time?

Can't help thinking you'd feel differently if you live across the road, had a young kid you couldn't get to sleep due to the flashing
lights and music, then got up the next day to find your car damaged!
(two sides to every story)

its a free country lol sure it is
fredom of speach not!!!!!
and a mans home is his what??
too right IMO.
that man is not right in the head, I mean, what is the bleedin; point?
I recognsie the name, he's been in the national papers - some lottery/self made millionaire scumbag that moved into some very posh housing estate
and does it to wee of the neighbours.
You may say all jolly good and nice but if you lived next door or opposite, I doubt you'd be saying the same when coach loads (yes, you read it
right!) of vistiors come to gawp and wee over your front lawn since toilets are not provided.
If he wants to contribute to charity, then the money he spent on the light and leccy bill would do just as well. Attention seeking a**hole.
Another stupid American tradition, like halloween, that should have stayed over there.

^^^^^^ Bah Humbug!!

i agree, id be well pissed off if that crank lived next door. These ridiculous displays are a total waste of energy, both running them and making them.
surely it is up to him what he spends his money on? and he has collected £55000 for charity! not bad by most peoples standards...
looking at the pictures it is a big expensive house so I very much doubt that it is close enough to thge neighbours to cause them any trouble with
light pollution etc..... Now if i did that to my house then it would annoy the neighbours!...
I think is really down to jealousy in that he's won a heap of money and showing off. That usually pi$$es off people.
Merry Christmas to all the folk who would have benefited from the 55k, probably wee kiddies now with no presents...
like I said Sick Britain

Their household power bills soar by £100 a week when they switch on the month-long display which, in all, costs the family about £5,000 every year.
Thousands of visitors are drawn to take a look, and are encouraged to leave a deposit in the charity box provided. Mr Moszczynski has raised £50,000 for good causes over the past seven years.
The electricity bills from the displays are thought to total £25,000.

Is it though? Unless you can get indise his warped mind, you canot say what his motiviation is.
He can give £ 400 a week, which is what his leccy costs for the period but he wouldn't be in the papers.
there are many ways of raising money without being an annonying attention seeking tw*y.
and as for raising 5,000 per year - has this been verified?

fair nuf. U2U me with your address and I'll arrange daily delivery of 1,000 chavs by bus and blue-neoned novas dressed by JB Sports to stand outside your house throwing beer cans, used condoms and chip papers into your front garden and see how you like it.

I live in a place called Ellesmere Port just on the edge of the Wirral. We have thousands of our own chavs already in this area so they would only get lost in the crowd. Plenty of areas in this town / area where the above behaviour is a part of everyday life!!!
I was trying to make the point that i am pretty convinced that the Neighbours in his area are seriously over-exagerating any issues that were there with any trouble in the area.
Is all the chav behaviour verified then or was it just on the neighbours word?? How many arrests were there due to that house being covered in lights??

So if your kid needed a trip to America for a life saving op and the 55k was for that then you'd be ok that the council had banned him from raising it would you??
Who cares if he wants lights all over his house, it's his house and it's for two weeks of the year, big deal.
The guy rasied 55k for charity which in my mind is great whoever he may be, arsehole or not!!
