Zetec front mounted crank sensor
lsdweb - 31/1/04 at 06:45 PM

Dear All

I'm trying to fabricate a bracket to mount the crank sensor near the front pulley of my Zetec engined Locost and was wondering if anybody else had successfully managed this.

Those of you with Zetecs will be wondering why I'm not using the standard flywheel sensor - I've used a CVH flywheel which can be made much lighter than the Zetec and allows me to use some of my existing parts eg starter. As this doesn't come with the timing "holes", I need to pick up on the front pulley, hence the need for a bracket.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is starting to annoy me now!

Thanks Chris

I saw this thread but couldn't find the article on the early Fiesta HCS system combined with a modified Sierra pulley adapted to whatever engine you wish.

Any help would be appreciated!
