Can anyone identify this please? - been sorting out the mystery items in the garage with a view to a clear out and its always nice to know what things are: Mystery carb

Doesn't it have any writing on it anywhere?

Nothing on the carb after discussing witha mate I wondered if it was a VW version of a webber but no experience with them so just a guess.

It might be a Peter but how do we tell?

Would that be a Pierburg then? That's VW's Weber. Often replaced with a Weber as it can be a right pain!

The bolts underneath look very japanese, Does the 1.4 on the under side give a clue?

On the side not photographed there is a glass window like on the nikicarbs.

I recognise that "AB" round logo on the bottom of the manifold but not sure where from..

The only carbs I know with the float sight glass on them were the Nikki - plus was there another one (Fish/Minnow)?
