Hi can one of u clever people explain the sequence to fit a vernier pulley to a pinto after putting the cyl head back on

Its no different to fitting a std cam pulley it just lets you get everything spot on as decribed on the burton power website.

Thanks for that but it doesn't tell how to vary cam timing using the vernier pulley or how set up defore changing pulleys any ideas keith

Yes it does in a round about way

Find your true TDC position and mark the pulley.

Attach timing disc to crank shaft and rotate to the full lift position in the cam spec (eg 118deg ATDC) - youll need to make a pointer to use the disc.

Turn the cam by hand to achieve full lift on inlet valve 1 (you'll need a DTI)

Loosen the bolts on the vernier pulley.

Place the belt on the pulleys without moving any of them! And tension it as required.

Tighten up the bolts in the vernier pulley.

Job done.

Then if you want to vary the timing you record the base setting indicated on the pulley (its unlikely to be 0!) Then slacken the bolts and adjust it a couple of degrees either way. Hop back on the rolling road and see what difference it makes.

It really is as simple as that...
