zx9r fuel pressure
Ratters - 9/4/09 at 07:36 PM

does anyone know what pressure the carb zx9r fuel pump runs at please??

thanks. i'm running that pump at the moment with the matching carbs with no problems but will soon be swapping to weber'd pinto which i think may well need more pressure than 1.5psi

If it helps Mr Haynes says that the fuel cut off pressure for the pump is 1.6 to 2.3 psi.

cheers

going from bike carbed 1700 x-flow to 2.1 pinto on 48's. i was presuming/knowing they'd be needing a facet & reg really but was just wondering if i'd get away with the current one as would save some more aggro!!!

it's been aggro already so i don't spose it'll make a lot of difference sorting some fueling lol

I have heard that webber 48's can be too much for a pinto.

48's for a race Pinto, no need for road or the odd track day, 45's will be fine, 40's will work.

It's the choke sizes that are important

the engine's come complete, bought from a mate of mine who had it built at vulcan so everything is matched on it. complete engine, carbs, manifolds, mounts, altenator, gearbox the lot
