Speak to Raw Engineering as they sell and fit them to the 4age.

Hi,

There's pics in my archive but yes I'm using an Accusump on a 4AGE. I've used the tap on the side of the oil pump housing. I can't remember the fitting required off the top of my head but if you remove the bung you should be able to work it out from that.

I did it this way as I'm using a Ford water/oil cooler sandwich plate between the oil filter and block. Also makes for a very neat install.

You can just about see the setup in the pic below. Simple short pipe from the Accusump to the oil pump housing.

just emailed raw now. where did you get that pipe from? also do you turn your accusump on and off every time? seems bit of a nightmare doing everytime to go for blast.
thanks

Rob

Though Mel at RAW should be able to help you because they specialise in the 4AGE. I actually bought all my additional fittings from Merlin Motorsport, after buying the initial kit from RAW.

The hose is Mocal blue aeroquip with push on fittings (believe me once on they are pretty much permanant).

If you can give me an approx length you require from the Accusump to the pump fitting I'll see what I have as I've had a couple of configurations on my car.

As for operation I've never had any problems leaving the tap open ( I have the smallest Accusump can). The only thing to Consider is that if the tap is open then the oiling from the pump may be reduced initially so for peace of mind close the tap. I think I'll test this later as I can time how long it takes to switch off the oil warning light which is set at 25PSI.

i was going to put the accusump under the dash as i can easily reach the lever. but i like your idea as its simple and i have plenty of room there like you have. i had a quick look on merlin but could not find 1/2" npt.
im off to devon this morning and will be back on tuesday night. its going to bit of a rush to get the engine sorted for stonleigh but hopefully will get it sorted.
thanks for the help
speak to you next week
